Because Pilate had not done anything wrong. The guards took him away to the soldiers laughed and beat him. Jesus’s body was placed in a tomb. The disciples were very sad.
Well done for trying Hiyab. Pilate washed his hands because he was saying the choice to crucify Jesus was not his, it was the crowds. He did not want to take responsibility for Jesus dying as he knew Jesus was innocent. That was a tricky question.
