On Friday 18th September, everyone was given a potato and a challenge. You were asked to cook a recipe including potatoes. Thank you to Hiyab for our first Year 2 picture. We use stem sentences to help us to explain what we know in maths. What us use some of them below…
Can you show your parents how you use stem sentences to explain these numbers?
We have been reading some of the well known stories in the Old Testament. God gave us all talents, including the people in these stories. Although the didn’t always get things right before Jesus came, they tried served God as they thought they should.
David and Goliath
David was given the gift of faith. He had faith in God to help him defeat the Philistine Goliath. This helped to save the Israelites.
Noah’s Ark
Noah was given the gift of trust. He trusted God to look after him and his family when the flood came. God promised never to do this again.
The Call of Samuel
Samuel was given the gift of listening. He listened to God and delivered His important messages to the people.

We work collaboratively in maths. The equipment helps us to see the maths. We use stem sentences to help us to explain the maths.
Today we have decided to move some strawberry plants  because they were crowding the planter. The children decided to see if they would grow just as well on the far side of the garden.

I don’t know what happened to last week’s posts. I thought I had posted them all ready for you but they don’t appear to be on the blog. I am very sorry.
This week is your last week of school so I will set you challenges instead. There are lots of challenges here so just choose a couple each day. I look forward to spending next year with you as well 🙂
