“Quote of the Day” – Handwriting Practice
Amelia Earhart (1897 – 1937) was an American female aviator and author. In 1928 Earhart became the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean. She took off from Newfoundland in Canada and landed in Southampton in England. Amelia Earhart was a tomboy and her adventures helped to show men that women could do anything they could do. Click on the picture to find out about more about Amelia Earhart.Â

Q: What happened to Amelia Earhart in July 1937July?
