1. Why do you think Dr. Seuss never shows us the face of the Onceler and then makes him hide away, lurking in his lerkim?

2. The Lorax is sure no one could possibly buy it and yet they become very popular? How would you advertise a Thneed? Can you think of anything that has been popular recently that is unnecessary and maybe a waste of resources like a Thneed?

3. Do you have anything at home that you think might be like a Thneed? If not, choose one thing you own. Do you know how it was made and where it came from? Do you think it was made in a way that did no harm to the environment?
