We have been exploring 2D and 3D shapes. We are learning the name of the shapes as well as the properties of the shapes. We quizzed each other too to see how many shapes we could name…..

Advent is approaching on Sunday 27th November. We are preparing ourselves for Advent and are ready to welcome visitors during this special time . Today we held a prayer service to ask God to help us be ready for the coming of Jesus. Our class chaplains prepared our prayer table beautifully.

Today in DT we used straws and tape to create our own 3D structures. The aim was to create a free standing structure, look what we made…..

This week is anti~bullying week. Today we wore odd socks to school to show we are all different and we have to treat each other with respect. We made our class pledge to look after everyone we meet and talked about the people we can reach out to when we see people making the wrong choices or being unkind. #AntiBullyingWeek

In DT we have been looking at structures. We rolled up paper and glued it together to make a 3D structure that can stand by itself…….

Our mission is to be good brothers and sisters. We have made friendship cards for each other to show that we appreciate each other.

Our mission in year 1 is to look after each other and to care for each other just as Jesus did. We are a school family and are all brothers and sisters.
