Good morning year 5! 🙂

“Quote of the Day” –  Handwriting Practice

Haile Selassie (1892-1975) was Emperor of Ethiopia from 1930 – 1974. His family was descended from King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba. Although he was a man of very strong faith, he was controversial meaning people disagree about his ideas. During World War 2, Ethiopia was invaded by the Italians and Haile Selassie had to come to England. A lot of his time here was spent in Malvern (the hills you went to in year 4) and his daughters went to school there.

“No one should question the faith of others, for no human being can judge the ways of God.”
