Good morning all! 🙂
“Quote of the Day” – Handwriting Practice
St. Francis of Assisi (1181 – 1226) You can see from these dates that St. Francis had quite a short life but he managed to cram a lot into it. Before he became a friar (a monk who travels around) he was a soldier and even spent a year as a prisoner of war.
“Do not wish to be anything but what you are and be that perfectly.”
Today’s Question: What is St. Francis the patron saint of? (Click on the picture to find the answer)
Floodland – Then – Seven – 54 – 57
Before today’s reading we need to have a closer look at some stained glass windows. These windows are by one of England’s greatest artists: Edward Burne-Jones. He was born in Birmingham and these windows are right here in the centre of town. They are among some of the most beautiful and famous stained glass windows in the world and we’re very lucky to have them.
