Sound experiment

Today the children in Year 3 conducted an experiment to work out how sound travels. They asked this question last week and worked together to plan the experiment. They have been excellent scientists.

  1. Sound travels by sound waves. If you bang a desk or table and put one ear on the table(desk) and close the other ear you will feel and hear the sound, because of the sound waves

  2. We haven ‘t done science in a long time we should do it on Monday but it is your choice Miss Barr
    .

  3. If you don’t know the meaning of sound let me tell you what is sound . For example if you were in a room and your friend is in the other room and you say “Can you give me the book but there is no reply so you try again .”Can you give me the book but there is no response . Then you shout and then your friend says “What ??Your friend says ” I couldn’t hear you then your sound wave isn’t big enough .
