I’m reading Michael Rosen joke book at the moment. It has some hilarious one line jokes but also some funny stories and even a bit about where jokes first began. Sarah Horne did the illustrations and some of them are just as funny as the jokes!
Here’s one of my favourite jokes :
Patient: Doctor, doctor I’ve got something awful on my neck.
Doctor: It’s your head.
When I’ve finished I’ll put this book in the library so watch out for it.
Looks like a great book Mrs Tibbits. I am struggling to put down Rooftoppers at the moment!
Miss Barr you have forgotten your full stop.
I’m reading Rooftopper by Katherine Rundell. It’s the story of a shipwrecked orphan searching for her mother. She has been taken in by a lovely man called Charles. He cares for her and teaches her to ‘ never ignore the possible’. I can’t wait to see if she finds her mom and discover what will happen between Sophie and Charles
I have heard about that story; it is good
Miss Coleman you really know that I like your books.
I am reading HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL by Peter Barsocchini.
I’m reading Millions by Frank Cottrell Boyce. I’m on the 4th chapter.
Hello Mr Mulligan just to let you know I am reading drastic by Michael Rosen and illustrations by Tim Archibald and it has lots of different poems and lots of funny rhyming words.
If you dont mind I will put 2 poems in the box
DON’T:
don’t do
don’t do
don’t pull faces
don’t tease the cat.
Don’t pick your ears
don’t be rude at school
who do they think I am – some kind of fool ?
One day
they will say
don’t put toffee in my coffee
don’t pour gravy on the baby
don’t put beer in his ear
don’t stick your toes up his nose.
don’t put confetti on the spaghetti
don’t put ants in your pants
don’t put mustard in the custard
don’t chuck jelly at the telly
DON’T WHAT?
don’t throw fruit at a computer
who do they think I am – some kind of fool ?
Somthing drastic
something drastic
my ears are plastic
somthing drastic
my nose is plastic
somthing drastic
I’M FANTASTIC
