Today years R,3,4,5 and 6 offered their hearts in prayer to celebrate our Lent theme of service to Our Saviour.
Year 2: To think about our own experiences with sin
Year 2 have been working on what they have done wrong in the past and how they can improve. They thought about how they always ask God for forgiveness. Some of the children role played when they had done wrong and then turned to God.
Lent 2017 – Week 3
Week 3 of Lent has been really busy! SeeĀ what has been happening below.
Year 4 Have been having biscuit sales for our appeals.
Year 5 had a prayer Service on forgiveness. “It was about the prodigal son and how the father forgave the son”. Year 5 pupil
Year 3 are having as raffle towards our appeals. 10p a ticket!
Year 5 have been completing their wall hangings based on our Lent theme.

Two children were baptised by Father Solomon in our whole school Mass.

Lent 2017 week 2
Here at St. Vincent’s we are in full swing of our prayer, fasting and almsgiving for Lent (And we can’t forget that we have also had the Archbishop confirm some of our children).

Confirmation 2017
Our Confirmandi received the Sacrament from Arch Bishop Bernard Longley last Thursday. It was a beautiful service with an excellent turnout for the choir and a packed church. The children who received the Sacrament were brilliant and will now carry forward all that they have learnt about the Holy Spirit in school and in their future lives.
Lent 2017 week 1.
Lent has begun and the children at St. Vincent’s are fully engaged in following in the ways of Jesus.
In recption, the children have been writing how they can be more like Jesus.
In year 2, the children have been learning about the parable of the Lost Sheep and how God forgives our sins.
In year 6, they have been learning about the parable of Lazarus and the rich man and how we must be prepared to give alms during lent.
The liturgy leaders from year 5 performed the Stations of the Cross for years 1, 3 and 5 today.
Disciple Retreat Day
The whole school enjoyed a brillaiant retreat day today with the support of one life music. Dan and Emily planned a wonderful day for us all and we all feel that we are now disciples in our school and community.
