Sustainability
In our theme, we have been thinking about the environment and how we can look after God’s creation. We have studied Laudato Si and thought about what Pope Francis wants us to do.
The Iron Man
In Year 3, we have been reading the Iron Man by Ted Hughes. In English, we have been role playing parts of the story and enjoying writing instructions and newspaper reports about the story.

Today Year 3 performed their music share to the school. Here it is:
Human Rights.
The children in year 3 have been learning about human rights and our rights and responsibilities in God’s world. We used the book ‘We are all born free’ to base our work on and we produced a brilliant video along with year 4.
CAFOD World gifts Oral presentations
ForĀ the children’s theme project, they prepared oral presentations on choosing a World gift for the class. The presentations and posters were fabulous and year 4 had a difficult time choosing the winner. The winner was the fantastic fish group and here it is…..
Ash End Farm
The children in Year 3 loved visiting the farm and seeing the different animals. They learnt so much from the visit and will be doing more work about farms and animals.
Caritas in Action – Human dignity
We have been looking at human dignity and how God loves everyone, no matter what.
Talk for writing – Explanation text
The children have been learning a text on how to be a good pupil. They have only spent two days learning the text and so this is a great attempt.
On The Farm theme
The children in Year 3 will be looking at animals, farms and farming over this term along with reading our class book, Charlotte’s Web. I wonder why we found all this in our room?
