Year 1 have had THE best day! They have learnt how to make cupcakes and buttercream. They then learnt how to pipe the buttercream on to the cupcakes and ice and stack a wedding cake. Of course we made icing sugar clouds! 😊
Today the children harvested the peas from their plants. 🌱 They were to excited to wait to cook them that they ate them straight from the pods. Yummy!
This week Year 1 learnt how to play different sports that are inclusive to everyone. They played Boccia, curling, inclusive tennis and Vi football.
Year 1 are so excited about the Royal Bumble Bee wedding that they have made minbeast hotels for all of the creepy crawlies to live in during the wedding and over the next few weeks. Not long to go now!
What a fantastic day Year 1 had at Hamstead Hall. We rock climbed, played games, built forest houses out of giant sticks and got lost in the forest. Perfect!
Year 1 have been searching for mini beasts today. They want to learn more about insects and other small creatures so that they can build hotels for them to come to the royal bee wedding!
We have been learning how to use the Base 10 equipment to make 2 digit numbers. We can represent a ten using 1 ten rod or 10 one cubes.
