Using counters to understand adding decimal numbers and exchanging 10 tenths for 1 whole.   8.3+2.9.

Some children in year 4 meet once, weekly, to play scrabble. You may not know this but scrabble is helping us with our spellings and maths.

Last week, Year 4 had a visit from the school nurse who discussed (with us) how we can keep our teeth clean.   Thank you.  

We went into the hall to see how many different fractions we could make with the number of children present. We also responded (practically) to some fractions questions.  

      We recently investigated what seeds need in order to germinate. Can you recall any of these necessities?
