Miss Barr and Year 4 came and read the story of and Tango makes Three to us. We really enjoyed the story and we enjoyed working with the children in Year 4 to draw some pictures of the story.
Traction Man was a toy that was given as a present. At Christmas Traction Man received a present from Granny. It was a green knitted suit.
We talked in class about out favourite toys that we received as presentss. We brought them into school and talked about why they are our favourites.

We have been reading the story about the good Samaritan. We role played the story and talked about the choices that were made by the priest and the teacher of the Law. We talked about good Samaritan and how he was a kind man.
The children thought about how they can be good Samaritans in school and at home.
After taking the pictures of Traction Man we decided to write about them and we used the pictures to put together a comic strip about them to help us write our story.
We have been reading the Traction Man book as part of our theme. We have been thinking of adventures that Traction Man could go on. We used the dolls and took photos of them in various places. Have a look and ask us about the things that he got up to.
Year One visited two lovely cribs as part of our RE work. One of them was at school and one was in St Vincent’s Church. We discussed what we saw in each of them and said some prayers at them.

During Advent we have been challenged to make cribs at home with our families. The children in Year One have been working incredibly hard and have made some amazing cribs. Have a look at them and see if you like them.
During Advent we thought about the homeless around the world but especially the homeless in Birmingham. We decided that we were going to collect food for them and give it out. We had a lovely prayer service and recorded things in our floor books about what we could do to help.
In class we have been talking about the celebrations we know about – Can you think of any that we have missed?
