Last Wednesday, we enjoyed a lovely mass inside our classroom with Father Solomon. The children learnt how Jesus saved a man from going mad in the temple. Jesus cares and so should we!
Today, we planted some seeds in cotton wool and placed them on our windowsill. However, one had no water, one was covered in cling film and one was placed in the cupboard. What will happen? Will they grow? You decide!
The children in Year 3 are reading a book called ‘The Promise’ which they are really enjoying. Today, the children created a reader’s theatre and reconstructed a scuffle between an old lady and young girl. It was great fun.
Over the last two weeks the children in Year 3 have been making Moon buggies for the Moon Man who is visiting the earth. This involved designing, woodwork and producing a motor to move the buggy. The children enjoyed the challenge and some even moved!
We are making Christmas cards and lots of them….
Today, Year 3 received some letters from Treviso, Italy as part of our ‘getting to know you’, E Twinning project. The children loved reading the letters and finding out about Italy.
The Moon Man has arrived on earth with a bang. Here are Year 3 pretending to be the emergency services racing to the scene!
The children have also created mind maps on what he will need to survive on earth.
The children in year 3 learnt about the Apartheid Era in South Africa and how it was so unfair. We made posters and held our own anti apartheid demonstration. Check out video!
