Today the children harvested the peas from their plants. 🌱 They were to excited to wait to cook them that they ate them straight from the pods. Yummy!

Diversity Day
This week Year 1 learnt how to play different sports that are inclusive to everyone. They played Boccia, curling, inclusive tennis and Vi football.

Making minibeast hotels
Year 1 are so excited about the Royal Bumble Bee wedding that they have made minbeast hotels for all of the creepy crawlies to live in during the wedding and over the next few weeks. Not long to go now!
Outdoor education at Hamstead Hall
What a fantastic day Year 1 had at Hamstead Hall. We rock climbed, played games, built forest houses out of giant sticks and got lost in the forest. Perfect!
Counting 2 digit numbers
Mini-beast hunt
Year 1 have been searching for mini beasts today. They want to learn more about insects and other small creatures so that they can build hotels for them to come to the royal bee wedding!
Making numbers
We have been learning how to use the Base 10 equipment to make 2 digit numbers. We can represent a ten using 1 ten rod or 10 one cubes.
Counting up to 100
Today we tidied up our classroom so decided to count as we tidied! The chn worked really hard to group the objects before counting in multiple of 10.
